A goal is to provide fitness and massage for everybody. No matter what your age, you can feel young again and there are no limits to what your body and mind can achieve. Newton’s First Law of Motion States, ” A body at rest will remain at rest unless an outside force acts on it, and a body in motion will remain in motion.” Let me help you stay moving and feeling your best.
If you are looking for relaxation, I recommend a Swedish massage or Hot stones. If you are looking for muscle tension relief or stiffness I would recommend a deep tissue. If you are very active or an athlete who needs help with stretching, range of motion and more a therapeutic approach I would suggest a sports massage. If you are expecting please book a pre-natal massage. I have pregnancy pillows that will allow you to lie prone right up until delivery! If you are short on time but would like a quick chair massage, that can help with back and neck relief.
What are some of the benefits of massage?

Sports Massage can help athletes or active clients recover faster and get you ready for your next game or event. This type of massage will use a wide variety of techniques that will be different for each situation or client to meet their specific needs. This can help prevent injuries and prepare the body to maintain optimal function. We will do stretches, Range of motion and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation).
Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage but a deeper pressure is applied to release chronic muscle tension. The focus will be on reaching deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. This type of massage supports healing by releasing contracted areas of muscles & tissue. It can break down scar tissue and reduce inflammation. Please note that you may feel muscle soreness during and after this type of massage, but will typically subside within a day or so.
Hot stone massage involves the use of smooth heated stones. The localized heat and weight of the stones warm and relax the muscles, allowing deeper pressure to those areas without causing discomfort. Let the hot stones melt away your stress and tension one rock at a time.
Swedish Massage is used to relax the entire body. This relaxation massage is the most “spa like” In this massage long gliding strokes with lighter pressure will be applied to the full body. This type of massage can relieve anxiety, reduce muscle tension and stress. Come pamper your body and feel rejuvenated when you leave.
Pre-natal massage is for all stages of pregnancy. You can now lay prone up to delivery with our pregnancy pillow! I will comfortably prop you on your side with body pillows if you prefer . Please be aware that deep pressure is not allowed for the safety of you and your baby on the legs or feet, as well as not being able to hold certain pressure points on the body. Pre-natal massage can be beneficial and bring great relief to your changing body.
A chair massage can allow clients to be full cloathed while in a seated position allowing me to massage neck, head, shoulders, and back. This can decrease tension, stress & headaches.
Correctly placed kinesiology tape can improve movement and functional outcomes. Go stronger, longer is the motto. Kinesiology tape reduces muscle fatigue and promotes proper form. This tape lifts the skin away from the muscles which increases blood flow. It can help with reducing swelling and pain. From shin splints, Achilles pain, planters fasciitis, shoulders, ankles, IT bands, & back pain to name a few.
Add this on to your massage appointment or talk to Sarah about taping before/after class. Need to set up a more flexible time? Contact me to arrange a good time.
