Sarah Lau-Melby

In 2011, I decided to start running to get back into shape after having 4 children.  It wasn’t long and I was introduced to fitness classes and cross training. This is where I got the idea to take a training so I could teach myself.   In 2012, I took my first training and I have continued to expand my certifications since then. In 2013 I began teaching my first group fitness classes in Trempealeau.  In 2014 I started teaching in Holmen, Fountain City & Arcadia and by 2016 I opened GET FIT Studio in Trempealeau, WI. In 2018, I decided I needed more useable space to accommodate the growing business and relocated GET FIT Studio to 315 Ryan St in Holmen.

In the last 5 years, I have expanded my studio offerings from one class per week to 20 classes on an average.  I enjoy working with all levels of fitness and specialize in modifications to ensure all clients at various athletic abilities and ages can get the best workout possible in the same class.  When I say fitness classes for everybody, I mean everyone! From ages 3-82, men women and child, I have a class for you. GET FIT Studio strives to provide a safe, clean nonjudgmental environment for all.  We are a small group setting to make sure everyone gets the attention and help they need and deserve. Taking the time to ensure proper form and technique is most important to us. I have trainings on a variety of classes as I feel working the body in all ranges of motions and a wide variety of activities is best.  No two classes are ever the same, nor do we repeat or copy pre choreographed routines.

My love for running brought me into fitness and has continued to expand the last 9 years and my goal to run a race in all 50 states. I love being a positive roll model to so many.  I have convinced to many to set goals and enjoy watching them succeed and achieve them. I love to Hike, Run, ride my road bike, do triathlons, 1/2 marathons and full marathons. I am most proud of my family!  My husband Jake and I have been married for 13 years and have 4 children; Austin, Maddy, Emerson and Violet. we currently have two cats Stella and Simba. Our family loves to go on vacations together and spend time outdoors. I have a very supportive family and I am so lucky to have them show an interest and all have a roll in our family business. I like to Lead by example, set achievable goals, make the most out of every day & try to always find a positive in every situation.

Heather Stern

My name is Heather Stern. I am a wife of 12 years, mom of one little guy who started kindergarten this year and 2 four legged pals. During the day, I teach special education with an emphasis in social, emotional, behavioral disabilities.

I have been involved in fitness activities of some sort my whole life. In middle school and high school, I was a gymnast and a runner. My running career did not stop at high school and I continued to compete for UW-L in college. I was a sprinter, high jumper and pole vaulter. After college I continued my fitness adventure, but it was different than before. I became involved in classes and slowly am transitioning to a distance runner. I also have coached track and field at the high school level before my child was born.

Since my child has been born, I have gotten back to my love for running and fitness classes. I began with just attending the park and rec classes to joining Sarah’s studio. For running, I started with local 5ks and decided to try another half marathon. Since then I have done several 1/2 marathon’s, ran a full marathon (even signed up for another full) and completed a 1/2 iron man (with my sights on another).

Kim Wigdal

Kim Wigdal joined GET FIT Studio in 2016 as a member and it didn’t take long for her to become happily addicted to morning workouts and new fitness challenges.  She enjoys attending group fitness classes and says it’s the perfect stress reliever and confidence booster! After seeing the many benefits of a consistent fitness routine she decided get her certification in Body Weight Training, and as a Group Exercise and Mat Pilates Instructor.

Kim loves to inspire and motivate others to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  She is a firm believer that happiness comes from a healthy lifestyle. Kim discovers creative ways to work small muscles groups through her favorite Pilates Pulse class, which focuses on concentrated muscle movements, fun pulsing motions and deep belly laughs.

Kim lives in Galesville, WI with her husband and two daughters where she works as a Business Analyst for GEA.  Outside of work she can be found in her flowerbeds, walking her dog, enjoying time with family, friends and coffee, or going on an occasional jog.

Fun Fact:  Kim has future plans to work on her Yoga Certification.
